Hi Southwest Jr. High family! My name is Verenice Anguiano, and I’m thrilled to join the team as your new school social worker. This will be my 6th year as a social worker with Springdale Schools, and I’m so excited to continue supporting our students, families, and staff. My goal is always to ensure every student feels supported, heard, and equipped with the tools to succeed both socially and academically.
Outside of work, you can usually find me reading, camping, and spending time with my family. I look forward to an amazing school year together!

Southwest Junior High students and families, it’s time to get ready for the school year! Our Chromebook Pick-Up event will be held on:

⏰ 9:30 AM–12:00 PM and 1:30 PM–3:30 PM
Before arriving, please make sure the following items are completed:
✅ Technology Acceptable Use Agreement has been completed
✅ All outstanding Chromebook fees have been paid
Students who have not completed the Technology Acceptable Use Agreement or who have outstanding Chromebook fees will not be able to pick up their Chromebook until those requirements have been met.

"Hi everyone! My name is Taylor Tarbutton. I grew up in Goshen, Arkansas, and have been teaching science for the past 10 years. I recently earned my doctorate in Change Leadership from the University of Central Arkansas. My husband, Taylor, and I live in Fayetteville with our three dogs and one cat. We love live music, cooking, science, gaming, and we're currently in our health era, spending more time at the gym (still deciding if I love that part!). I'm excited to get to know all of you, learn alongside you this school year, and see what we accomplish together!"
