SHS STAFF SPOTLIGHT: ANGELA SKELTON

Angela Skelton graduated from Sheridan High School and attended Arkansas Tech University, where she played college softball as a pre-med student. She graduated with a degree in Biology from Arkansas Tech, then followed up with a Masters in Educational Theory and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. Mrs. Skelton started her teaching career at Springdale High School 14 years ago. She served as the SHS Head Softball Coach from 2009-2012 and has been the schools ACT test Coordinator since 2010. She is certified to teach all sciences and currently teaches biology while serving as a District Joint Council representative and a member of the SHS Guiding Coalition for the PLC process. She also sponsors the Springdale High School Spirit Bulldogs club, which works closely with the SHS Student Council to promote school spirit and community service in the Springdale community.

Mrs. Skelton and her husband Nathan were recently married on their favorite beach. She has a 10 year old son that swims year round and plays football and baseball in season. She also has 2 bonus kiddos that both attend SHS. Their son plays varsity football and their daughter is on the dance team. Mrs. Skelton loves traveling, going to all of her kids' events, watching sports, and hanging out with friends and family.
